Jules Cadie leads a participatory visual art event - the Ashgill Artwalk - from his studio at High Ashgill on the final Sunday, 14 September, from 11am.
Be an ‘Ashgill Creative' for a day, and join Jules on a 90-minute walk to collect ideas, sketches, materials and inspiration. The walk includes open fellside, part of the South Tyne Trail, Ashgill Gorge and Ashgill Force. After a packed lunch (bring-your-own), take part in a working session to develop ideas and create a piece of artwork in Jules' studio barn. End the day with a final, collective exhibition.
Booking essential; 12 people max.
Call 01434 381941 to book your place.
Suitable for all, regardless of skill or previous experience. However, it is not designed with young children in mind, and the walk, although less than 2 miles, covers a variety of terrain that requires strong shoes or walking boots.
Apart from your packed lunch, bring your own materials and equipment for your preferred media (e.g. drawing, painting, sculpture, digital photography). Jules can supply basics such as pencils, paper, cutting equipment and supports.
Cost: donation towards materials and basic refreshments.
